How to use unallocated drive space in windows operating system?

The disk space which doesn’t belong to any partition is regarded as unallocated space . It is a logical space on the hard drive so it can be used by puttig the system to put the files on .

Steps To allocate the  unused Unallocated  Drive Space In Windows :-

  1. Open the Control Panel.
  2. Open the Administrative Tools window.
  3. Open the Computer Management icon.
  4. Choose Disk Management.
  5. Right-click the unallocated volume.
  6. Choose New Simple Volume from the shortcut menu.
  7. Click the Next button.
  8. Set the size of the new volume by using the Simple Volume Size in MB text box.
  9. Click the Next button.
  10. (Optional) Choose a letter for the new volume.
  11. Click the Next button.
  12. Ensure the option Format This Volume with the Following Settings is chosen.
  13. Ensure that the NTFS format is chosen.
  14. Click the Next button
  15. Click the Finish button to create the new volume.
  16. When the operation is complete, you can close the Disk Management console.
